Kristin Scott Thomas and English women

“Kristin Scott Thomas clearly has no affection for the quintessential style of the modern English woman.
The star of movies like ‘Four Weddings And A Funeral’ and the Oscar-winning 'The English Patient’ has taken a swipe at women in the UK for dressing inappropriately, getting drunk and 'going orange’ with fake tan.
Though born in Cornwall, the 55-year-old actress moved to France when she was 19, and clearly prefers the style of the Parisian woman.
“French women make getting dressed seem simple,” she told the French beauty magazine Marie France, then reported by the Daily Mail.
“And they can be attractive without abusing their sexy side. There is no vulgarity, it’s all about subtlety.
“The English are terrible and very much the opposite, like they wear mini skirts when they don’t have the legs for it. In France, that would obviously be in bad taste. French women would never get drunk on a Saturday in a mini skirt in November.
“I think the French are more natural. They’re more interested in taking care of themselves.
“The English are much more concerned with what is fashionable. They follow all the latest trends, even though they all look the same.
“Right now, for example, English girls are all wearing buns on their heads!
“And they love tanning, especially fake tan, which means, by summer, everyone is orange.”
Perhaps she thought that her scathing comments, being for a French magazine, might not make their journey across 'La Manche’."

Ou peut-être qu' elle s'en fout complètement! 😃
